According to the Tacoma Police Department, officers responded to allegations of gunfire during an altercation between the passengers of two automobiles on Wednesday. It said that one of the drivers had fired several shots at the people inside the other car.
Following a drive-by shooting on Wednesday, former NBA player Shawn Kemp was detained and lodged in a jail in Washington state.
According to county records, Kemp was arrested for a felony drive-by shooting shortly before 6 o'clock local time (9 o'clock ET). The six-time NBA All-Star was the suspect, according to Darren Moss Jr., a spokesman for the Pierce County Sheriff's Department.
Just before 2 p.m. local time (5 p.m. ET), officers responded to reports of shots fired in a dispute between the passengers of two vehicles, the Tacoma Police Department stated in a statement.
Before the "victim vehicle" left the area, one of the drivers had fired several shots at the people inside the other car, according to the police.
